Improved guidance for new and occasional users

The new ToolSuite version 5.00 – now available as a beta – makes it much easier for new and occasional users to try out readers and create configurations.

ID-engine Explorer provides a better overview

ID-engine Explorer is the ideal starting point with useful features for testing and managing readers. The redesigned start screen gives you a better overview of these features, so you can find what you need more quickly. Plus, it gives you convenient access to the other ToolSuite applications ConfigEditor and Uploader. (Both can also be started individually as before.)

A wizard simplifies configuration setup

Configurations for autonomously reading of a number can now be created a lot easier: In ConfigEditor’s new Autoread Wizard, you simply select your host interface, card type, and the type of number to read – all necessary components will then be put together for you. (Experienced users and VHL developers can still select their components manually as before).

Guidance on your way to your ready-to-deploy configuration

Getting a configuration ready for deployment takes several steps. To help you keep track, the new workflow view in ConfigEditor guides you through the entire process: from filling in the components to testing, release & export.
